Healthy gut = healthy child

Gut Health, Digestion, Fussy Eating

The Root Causes of Poor Gut Health, Digestion, and Fussy Eating
When a child’s tummy hurts often, food causes discomfort, or digestion seems off, there’s usually an underlying story. Various factors could be contributing to tummy troubles or picky eating, such as:
- Inefficient digestion
- Poor nutrient absorption
- Food sensitivities or reactions
- Imbalance of beneficial gut bacteria
- Gut infections
- Inflammation and an overactive or weakened immune system
- Leaky gut or a weakened gut barrier
- Emotional stress or strong feelings
A Tailored Approach to Gut Health
I take the time to listen to both the child and parents to uncover the underlying factors affecting gut health. A detailed questionnaire helps gather valuable insights, and in some cases, stool and food testing can provide a clearer picture of gut function, microbiota balance, and food reactions for more targeted support.
There are many healthy diets out there, but which one is right for your child? Personalisation is the key. By considering your child’s symptoms, body function, health history, and past exposures, we can determine the most beneficial foods and dietary approach. I also guide and educate parents, making it easier to implement and maintain dietary changes for long-term gut health and well-being.
What to expect

1. Choose your appointment
Initial consultation (60min) €150
Follow-ups (60min) €135
An initial plan that can lead to ‘small wins’ such as new foods in the diet, more regular bowels or a less sensitive gut. Follow-up consultations are necessary to build on these wins and drive lasting improvements.
Gut health programme 2 (60min) + 2 (30min) consultations €398
A comprehensive programme that helps improve digestion, ease food issues, and support overall health through personalised nutrition, practical strategies, and craniosacral therapy. The programme equips parents with sustainable food and healthy eating strategies for long-term success.
2. Before a consultation
Parents complete a detailed health questionnaire. This helps me gain an understanding of your child’s health history and ensures that we can avoid discussing sensitive topics in front of the child.
I kindly ask you to talk to your child beforehand. It can help to set the right expectations and make him/her feel at ease when they first come.
Both parents are welcomed to attend. However, to maintain focus and minimise distractions, I recommend leaving siblings at home during a consultation.
3. During a consultation
Consultations take place on a floormat, sitting on a child’s desk while they are drawing or playing with soft toys or the plinth.
On the floormat, I am able to observe and recognise body language which can provide helpful insights. On the plinth, I am able to show parents helpful exercises.
Establishing trust and ensuring the child's comfort are essential. Therefore, I approach children with a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude, avoid the use of technical or medical terminology, ask questions that encourage curiosity, and respect their pace.
Consultations are interactive in nature, involving a thorough exploration of the symptoms, hands-on therapy, and time allocated to address any questions or concerns from the parents.
